Born in Toronto in 1946, Bob Bossin has spent 50 years writing and performing music and stories, most notably as the founder (with Marie-Lynn Hammond) of the seminal Canadian folk group, Stringband. Called “funny, informative and inspiring at the same time” by Pete Seeger, Bossin has recorded a dozen albums, performed through much of the world, and added a number of songs to the Canadian folk music canon. He has also written books, plays, essays, articles and, once upon a time, poetry. More recently he has made videos, viewable on his YouTube channel or his web site www.bossin.com. Bob lives, happily retired, on Gabriola Island, British Columbia, Canada with his wife, visual artist Sima Elizabeth Shefrin.
